AI: FILM & CONTENT PRODUCTION

Pro-Grade Training Program
AI & Production
Pro-grade, technology-enabled, creatively inspired
Generative AI is transforming film and audiovisual production. It supports traditional filmmaking processes from concept to VFX while simultaneously enabling new AI-first productions. In this program, AI functions as a production control layer that manages decisions, consistency, and complexity throughout the entire production cycle.
Creatives & Storytellers
Production-ready teams for practical application
This program is designed for advanced students and professionals in film, audiovisual, and content production, including those from film and media schools. It requires prior education or equivalent experience in filmmaking, storytelling, design, and production practice. These competencies are treated as prerequisites and are not taught from scratch.
Practical Experience
Frameworks, Models & Tools in Practice
This program combines conceptual clarity with practical production practice. Generative AI is used hands-on directly in film, audiovisual, and content production workflows. Professional prompting is taught as a central production method and adapted to text, image, video, and audio outputs. Sessions include live demonstrations and use cases that participants can follow and reproduce.
Creating Connections
Developing AI skills throughout the entire production cycle
This program is structured as a connected production sequence that links established film/AV practice with generative AI workflows. Throughout the program, participants complete practical hands-on exercises, creating multiple pieces in text, image, video, audio, and communication formats. Each module builds upon previous methods and decisions, ensuring that learning continues incrementally rather than starting anew. The program culminates in a final project where participants apply the full range of approaches across the entire film/AV production cycle.
Module 01
Strategic Foundation
This module establishes the foundation for working with Generative AI in film and audiovisual media productions. It examines how AI is positioned within professional AV production, introduces decision criteria, and sets governance standards that apply to all subsequent modules. The results of this module form the basis for narrative, visual, audiovisual, and delivery decisions developed throughout the program.
AI Production Foundation
Standards, Ethics, Decisions & Rights
Participants will learn how to:
  • Map the AI landscape in film and AV production: text, image, video, and audio systems as well as their roles
  • Understand the strengths, limitations, risks, and failure modes of different model types
  • Decide where AI is useful in professional production and where it is not
  • Apply governance in production: ethics, copyright, rights, data protection, quality criteria
  • Introduce professional prompting as a control method: structure, constraints, evaluation.
Module 02
Research & Conception
This module transitions the strategic foundation into early creative decisions. AI is used to support research, reference analysis, and structured idea development, guiding concepts from exploration to a production-ready direction. Decisions made here flow into narrative development, visual systems, and subsequent production stages.
AI-powered Research & Concept Development
From exploration to production-ready concepts
Participants will learn how to:
  • Map the AI landscape for research and ideation tasks
  • Use AI to research references, styles, formats, genres, and comparable works
  • Learn professional prompting techniques for research, exploration, clustering, selection, and refinement
  • Develop ideas into clear concepts and creative directions
  • Create treatments, outlines, and production plans with AI support
  • Compare alternatives and document decisions for downstream production
Module 03
Story Development
This module focuses on controlling narrative development with Generative AI. Participants develop methods for structuring characters, scenes, dialogues, and script variants that remain consistent across iterations. The narrative systems defined here serve as inputs for visual, audiovisual, and communication outputs in later modules.
AI Narrative Systems
Text as production control layer
Participants will learn how to:
  • Map the narrative AI landscape: LLM models such as Open AI, Gemini, Co-Pilot
  • Apply professional prompting techniques for narrative outputs
  • Develop characters, dialogue, scenes, and script variants
  • Generate and manage multiple versions, tonalities, and formats
  • Maintain narrative logic and continuity across iterations
Module 04
Visual Development & Consistency
This module introduces AI-powered visual systems for image-based production. Participants learn how visual decisions – such as style, color, characters, products, and environments – are defined, referenced, and maintained across iterations. These systems form the visual backbone for subsequent still and moving-image production.
AI Visual Systems
From scripts to visual systems
Participants will learn to:
  • Understand the image generation landscape: tools, models, strengths, limitations, and reference behavior
  • Apply professional prompting techniques for visual outputs and consistency control
  • Generate storyboards, shot structures, and scene references
  • Work with text-to-image, image-to-image, and reference-based generation
  • Use node-based image workflows to manage characters, scenes, props, products, and styles
  • Maintain continuity across color, lighting, framing, environments, and formats
Module 05
AI Video Production
After the visual systems are established, the program shifts to moving image production. This module focuses on how generative AI is transforming shot creation, iteration, pacing, continuity, and sequencing. Video is treated as a time-based production layer that must remain consistent with narrative and visual decisions. The focus is on control, coherence, consistency, and the production-ready usability of the generated footage, including AI-assisted editing for rough cuts, versioning, and rapid adaptations for various formats and platforms.
AI Video Generation & Control
Sequences, Motion, Consistency
Participants will learn to:
  • Understand the video generation landscape: tools, models, motion behavior, constraints
  • Apply professional prompting techniques for video outputs
  • Work with text-to-video, image-to-video, and video-to-video
  • Utilize node-based video workflows to control sequences, variations, and consistency
  • Manage pacing, motion, style, and coherence across shots
Module 06
AI Audio
Sound is an integral part of audiovisual storytelling. This module focuses on dialogue, voice, music, and sound effects as production elements that are shaped with generative AI. It looks at how audio supports narrative meaning, rhythm, and emotional impact, and how it must remain in harmony with image and story across iterations.
AI Generation & Control
Voice, Music & SFX
Participants will learn how to:
  • Map the audio AI landscape: voice, music, SFX systems; strengths/limitations; licensing and rights risks
  • Apply professional text-to-audio prompting techniques: intent, tone, timing, emotion, continuity constraints
  • Generate dialogue and voice-over variants with performance direction and consistency
  • Generate music themes, scene beds, and variations tailored to mood and pacing
  • Generate and control SFX layers; maintain continuity across shots and sequences
Module 07
AI-powered Project Communication
Film and AV projects must be clearly communicated to investors, collaborators, and audiences. This module covers how generative AI supports the creation of presentations, pitch materials, project pages, websites, and social formats. Communication is treated as an extension of the production process, not as a separate activity.
Marketing & Social Media
From production assets to effective public-facing content
Participants will learn how to:
  • Apply professional prompting techniques for release and promotional materials: logline, synopsis, press copy, tone, variants
  • Create pitch decks, one-pagers, festival submissions, Electronic Press Kit (EPK)-style materials, and project pages
  • Generate websites and social media formats from existing production assets (stills, clips, credits, key art)
  • Combine text and visuals into coherent deliverables for release communication
  • Adapt outputs for different audiences and channels (festivals, buyers, partners, community, press)
Final Production
Multimodal & Integrated
Throughout the program, participants develop a continuous film and audiovisual project. Each module drives the same production trajectory forward, allowing early decisions to be carried forward, refined, and validated under real constraints. The program culminates in an integrated final project that demonstrates decision consistency, cross-format consistency, and production-level use of generative AI across the entire workflow – from development to delivery.
